One of Britain’s best and most surprising singer-songwriters

Kathryn Williams recorded her impressive first album for £80 and with her second was shortlisted for a Mercury Music Prize.

Since then she has gone on to record an outstanding body of work including 12 studio albums under her own name and a recent novel, The Ormering Of The Tide, all of which have won strong critical praise.

Her strengths are her quiet vulnerability and sense of adventure. With barely a whisper, you can hear audiences holding their breath when she performs. Williams is a special, unique talent who continues to listen and learn from the greats while undoubtedly having become one herself.

Lorraine Lucas

Scottish Americana artist and addiction counsellor Lorraine Lucas sings about the workings of the mind and the deep longings of the soul.

Her sometimes driving, sometimes sentimental country blues document her experiences of a life on the road as a teenage hobo. She is unflinching and unashamed in her observations in a similar vein to Lucinda Williams & Gillian Welch, although she would say her main influences are Hank Williams & Johnny Cash.

Lorraine is an engaging and authentic live performer who communicates with her audiences with ease and her gigs are scattered with humourous anecdotes from the darker and lighter sides of life..
