Petworth Sessions Event:
Two headline acts for one special show put together by the Graham Steel Music Company:
Ajay Strivastav plays Indian Delta blues, a unique rootsy guitar style merging scales and techniques from classical Indian music with slide guitar, and layered with inflections of sitar and sarod. Joined by Vinod on tabla, and a full band behind them, he sings uplifting songs of protest and change.
Ajay's latest album Powerless topped the iTunes blues chart on its release last summer, and he's had an amazing response from the critics: "Think Ben Harper having a late night jam with George Harrison, just after he came back from a sitar lesson with Ravi Shankar." - Groovemag
The Lost Trades are a trio of Wiltshire based singer songwriters, whose close three part harmonies have consistently drawn comparisons to Crosby Stills & Nash and Fleetwood Mac, and whose recent album has charted in the UK Folk Chart.
